The trial for the ping service has ended, and at present we are not continuing to run the ping service. If you have been pinging us, then please remove the ping from your blog setup as it will just be wasting bandwidth. As we read the blog feeds each day usually, it seems overkill to have the ping service as well, especially considering there was a minority who were trying to abuse the service. If your feed is known to us, and we can read it, then your posts are read and updated in our directory and search results without the need to ping - its all read automatically on a daily basis usually.
